3D Calibration Tools


Nearly all 3D printers can benefit from calibrating. These are all parts manufactured to a certain level of tolerance which is fine, but to get the most out of our points and to help ensure dimensional accuracy it is best to calibrate various elements of our 3D printer.

Extruder Flow Rate

Print a 20mm cube in vase mode with a single base layer, single wall only and no top layer. Measure the thickness of the printed wall to ensure extruder flow accuracy. This should be done on every new reel of filament.

Stepper Motor Steps Calibration

A good starting test for X & Y dimensional accuracy is by printing a 20mm cube with no infill. To ensure perimeter accuracy.

Micro Step Rate Convertor
